JOB TITLE – Group Finance Manager

INTRODUCTION
An exciting opportunity exists for a Finance Manager at Retain Healthcare - We are a leading Healthcare Recruitment agency, homecare and training provider with offices in Cheltenham, Chippenham, Salisbury, Bristol and Dorset.
We are looking for a dynamic, driven and articulate professional to manage our finance team.
You will also work closely with the CEO and senior management team to deliver accurate management information to support continued growth and development.
You will need to be experienced in effectively managing a team as well as your own workload to ensure that Nursing and Care staff are paid on time, each week as well as support monthly payroll.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This role forms part of our creative senior management team and supports strategic business development.
Roles include:

  • Line Manage Payroll team (weekly and monthly)
  • Invoicing
  • Monitoring cash flow / aged debtors
  • Overseeing and setting budgets
  • Working proactively with departments and teams
  • Managing your own accounts team
  • Preparing monthly accounts
  • Developing financial models
  • Monitoring business performance
  • Strategic planning
  • Ensure HMRC payments and intermediary reports are on-time
  • Ensuring pay and charge rates are up to date
  • Accurate finance projections for the year.
 
CONTACTS & COMMUNICATIONS
  • Liaising with other areas of the organisation, including adherence to the rules, regulations, and guidelines for good practice
  • Ensure effective communication with our stakeholders
 
COMPETENCIES
  • The holder of this post should be able to demonstrate, or quickly acquire through appropriate training:
  • Must be familiar Sage payroll and Xero accounts
  • Accountancy qualification CIMA / ACA

    • Following the outcome focused model, encourage customers to undertake personal care and tasks which they are capable of, recognising that their abilities may change, in some circumstances, on a day-to-day basis

    We are seeking a passionate and experienced Support Worker to join our team in Gloucestershire. You'll play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with Learning Disabilities (LD), Autism, and challenging behaviours within a residential setting.
     
    About You:

    • Must hold a valid UK driving license and be willing to travel.
    • A minimum of 6 months of paid experience working with young people in a residential care setting.
    • Proven experience supporting individuals with LD/Autism and challenging behaviours.
    • PBS/PBM Training and demonstrable experience applying these frameworks.
    • Experience observing and responding to self-injury.
    • Comfortable working in 2:1 staffing ratios.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with young people.
    • Ability to de-escalate conflict situations and manage challenging behaviours effectively.
    • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to person-cantered care.
    • A proactive approach, with the ability to manage a workload and contribute to the smooth operation of the unit/home.

    About the Role

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Providing personal care assistance, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting.
    • Preparing meals and assisting with feeding.
    • Medication administration and monitoring.
    • Light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
    • Providing companionship and emotional support.
    • Assisting with shopping, errands, and social activities.
    • Supporting the client to maintain their social and recreational interests.
    • Accurate record-keeping and communication with the care team.
    • Ensuring the client's safety and security within the home.
    Essential Requirements:
    • Proven experience as a Live-In Care Assistant (minimum 1 year)
    • Availability to attend in person 5 days of mandatory induction training in Cheltenham, Salisbury, or Chippenham .
    • Availability to work at the client's home on a 2-week on, 2-week off basis.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient nature.
    • Ability to work independently and with initiative.
    • Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care.
    Desirable Requirements:
    • Driving Licence
    • DBS update service
    • Relevant qualifications (Care Certificate, NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care)
