Registered Nurses

Nurse Training

We offer free classroom based training to all of our staff, and invest in your career.

- Tracheostomy

Revalidation

Revalidation started in April 2016 and is the process that all Nurses and Midwides in the UK and all Nursing Associates in England need to follow to maintain their registration in the UK
Revalidation occurs every 3 years and is sent via your online NMC Account. 
It will expect you to understand and reflect on your role of the Code in your practice and demonstrate that you are meeting the standards within it

About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Live-in Carers to join our growing team. You will provide personalized care and support to individuals with a range of needs and health conditions in the comfort of their own homes throughout Wiltshire and surrounding areas.
The carer will ensure the client's well-being, safety, and comfort while promoting independence and dignity. This role requires someone who can live on-site, providing 24-hour care and companionship

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care assistance, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Preparing meals and assisting with feeding.
  • Medication administration and monitoring.
  • Light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation.
  • Providing companionship and emotional support.
  • Assisting with shopping, errands, and social activities.
  • Supporting the client to maintain their social and recreational interests.
  • Accurate record-keeping and communication with the care team.
  • Ensuring the client's safety and security within the home.
Essential Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Live-In Care Assistant (minimum 1 year)
  • Availability to attend in person 5 days of mandatory induction training in Cheltenham, Salisbury, or Chippenham .
  • Availability to work at the client's home on a 2-week on, 2-week off basis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient nature.
  • Ability to work independently and with initiative.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Driving Licence
  • DBS update service
  • Relevant qualifications (Care Certificate, NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care)
  • Experience in supporting individuals in Live-In settings

Payroll Administrator

Payroll Administrator
Location: Cheltenham


Retain Healthcare is a leading provider of Homecare staffing, Agency staffing, and Social Care Training in the South West. We are committed to providing exceptional care and support to our clients and employees.

As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our team. You will handle the full end-to-end payroll process, from processing starters and leavers to calculating statutory deductions and preparing year-end reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle the full end-to-end payroll process, including processing starters and leavers, calculating statutory deductions (SMP, SPP, SSP, and SAP), and preparing year-end reports.
  • Act as the primary contact for advising and resolving employee payroll queries.
  • Process BACS payments accurately and to an agreed timescale.
  • Process BACS Attachment of Earnings.
  • Complete end-of-year processing, including P11Ds and P60s.
  • Deal with manual calculations and update employee records as required.
  • Calculate ad-hoc payments such as holiday pay.
  • Invoice processing.
  • Process P45s for leavers.
  • Deal with HMRC queries.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience with payroll processing software (Sage or similar).
  • Experience using accounting software, particularly Xero, is preferred.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills.

About You:

  • Must hold a valid UK driving license and be willing to travel.
  • A minimum of 6 months of paid experience working with young people in a residential care setting.
  • Proven experience supporting individuals with LD/Autism and challenging behaviours.
  • PBS/PBM Training and demonstrable experience applying these frameworks.
  • Experience observing and responding to self-injury.
  • Comfortable working in 2:1 staffing ratios.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with young people.
  • Ability to de-escalate conflict situations and manage challenging behaviours effectively.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to person-cantered care.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to manage a workload and contribute to the smooth operation of the unit/home.
