Clinical Lead Physiotherapy
My client is an independent specialist provider for the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of adults with neurological conditions including acquired brain injury (ABI) and progressive neurological disorders. They registered the site towards the end last year and are about to open their doors to a new facility just outside Salisbury, during the first few days of February.
The onsite teams provide programmes of treatment, care and interventions led by an experience consultant in neurorehabilitation and on-site medical practitioner as well as registered nurses. They offer a 7-day a week therapy provision through physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, neuro psychologists as well as dedicated activities coordinator organising a range of vocational groups and one-to-one activities.
Overview and Responsibilities:
The post holder will report to the Clinical Lead for Physiotherapy, and work collaboratively within the integrated multidisciplinary teams to offer a comprehensive, patient-centred service.
The successful candidate will provide specialist Physiotherapy to patients undertaking Neuro Rehabilitation, as part of a collaborative and goal-driven interdisciplinary team, within this brand new service. You will be providing a high standard of Physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and advice for patients with acquired neurological conditions and disabilities across various pathways including acute neurorehabilitation, neurobehavioral management and rehabilitation, complex care, and assisted independent living.
Key responsibilities
Assessment of patients' needs and strengths; including the use of formal and informal measures where appropriate; and provision of risk assessments.
Utilising assessment results to development care plans, management strategies, clinical goals, and evidence-based therapy plans, which are then clearly recorded and communicated.
Monitor, evaluate, and modify treatment plans to ensure effectiveness using outcome measures.
To contribute to discharge planning including liaising with community teams and equipment providers.
Experience:
Experience in neurology, specialist rehab, and/or complex care
Experience in delivering evidence-based practice, following best practice guidelines, using assessment tools and providing outcome measures
Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards of professional practice
Experience of working in multi-disciplinary and/or Interdisciplinary teams
Experience of training, supporting and/or mentoring others
Essentials for this role:
At least 2 years' experience in relevant setting
Qualified in Physiotherapy and registered with the CSP
Registered with the HCPC.
Educated to degree-level or equivalent
Masters' degree in related field
Evidence of CPD and continued learning
Role Particulars.
This role is working 5 / 7 days, 37.5 hours per week.
The salary offered is up to £38k, dependent on experience and is the equivalent of NHS Band 6.
Additional training will be provided if required.
