Male Support Worker - Must Drive

 

Job Description

Our client is seeking passionate and experienced Support Workers to join their team in Stroud. You’ll play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to adults with Learning Disabilities (LD), Autism, and challenging behaviours within a residential setting.

About You:

  • Must hold a valid UK driving licence and be willing to travel.
  • Drive clients to social activities and medical appointments.
  • Minimum of 6 months of paid experience working with adults in a residential care setting.
  • Ability to administer medication under supervision.
  • Proven experience supporting individuals with LD/Autism and challenging behaviours.
  • Comfortable working in 2:1 staffing ratios.
  • Ability to de-escalate conflict situations and manage challenging behaviours effectively.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to person-centered care.
  • Proactive approach, with the ability to manage a workload and contribute to the smooth operation of the unit/home.
  • Must have full-time availability during the day.

    Salary: from £12.75 per hour

    Key Responsibilities:

    • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle essential.
    • PMVA qualification or experience in caregiving or social work are desirable but not essential as all training will be given
