Job Description
Are you a passionate, enthusiastic and experienced Registered Manager - with a focus on Person Centred Care? Our client is looking for a Registered manager with experience of the social care sector to join them in Gloucester. The home has a good CQC rating, an established care team and family owned. They are dedicated to supporting older people in their home which offers residential and dementia care.
The Registered Manager will work closely with the director in delivering high standards of care in accordance with their policies and procedures and all external regulatory requirements. You will manage a team of Care staff, developing best practice, leading by example and supporting further development of Person-Centred outcome focused care. You will ensure efficient and effective day to day running of the Home.
You will have had experience as a Registered Care Home Manager within a similar setting and be committed to promoting independence.
You need experience of managing people and can demonstrate positive values and you should possess excellent time management skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.
You will require good awareness of CQC legislation and hold a QCF level 5 in health & social care, or be working towards this. If this is sounds like you..... apply today

Main Duties and Responsibilities include:- When required liaise with Social Workers, District Nurses and other agency professionals within the multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute towards communicating changes of requirements.
- Ensure that you work within the company policies and procedures.
- Attending training and expanding your personal development
- Assist customers as appropriate with their personal needs, such as dressing, washing, meal preparation and access to their community as detailed in the Care Plan.
- When working within a customer’s home setting you may be assisting customers with, or where necessary carry out light housework, such as dusting, sweeping/ vacuuming carpets, living rooms/ kitchens/ bathrooms and toilets, polishing furniture using dusters/ mops/ equipment, washing and ironing clothing and bed linen, preparing and cooking a meal.
- Following the outcome focused model, encourage customers to undertake personal care and tasks which they are capable of, recognising that their abilities may change, in some circumstances, on a day-to-day basis

The service is a large retirement village with apartments and a central Shopping , activity , dining area.
Your duties will be callin on residents within the complex and assisting with all aspects of daily living including personal care, medication, general housework and companionship along with accessing the central activity center.
