Reablement Support Worker
Job Description
REABLEMENT AND HOMECARE SUPPORT WORKER - NORTH WILTSHIRE
*FLEXIBLE* *LOCAL* *WEEKLY PAID* *FULL TRAINING PROVIDED*
Retain Healthcare have expanded our Reablement Support services and long term homecare services in the North Wiltshire area, this includes Royal Wootton Bassett, Chippenham, Devizes, Trowbridge, Westbury, Malmesbury. Areas are divided into manageable distances for staff.
As a result of our community based work, we are seeking drivers to support these customers within their own homes following a hospital discharge or continuing long term care. Shifts are generally between 0700-1400 and 1600-2200 with paid travel time, increased rates of pay for customer contact time and mileage paid between visits. However the long term homecare hours can vary to the shift times above in order to offer an outcome based service to the individuals we support.
No experience is required as we will provide you will a full training induction and shadow shifts, ensuring you are confident and knowledgeable along your transformation into a community based Support Worker. You will be supporting people in their own homes to maintain their independence and reablement them back into the community. Duties could include;
- Supporting those we care for to begin the day and end the day as they wish, including: getting dressed/undressed, washed and comfortable, prompting medication.
- Working within a support plan with using outcome focused objectives.
- Assisting with mobility through encouragement, hoists and stand aids.
- Providing personal care where required.
- Providing companionship such as going out into the community such as to go shopping, to appointments, church or clubs.
- Being there to provide reassurance and emotional support throughout the visit.

To be a Reablement Support Worker with Retain no experience is required, just a kind and caring nature! Although experienced workers are very welcome with enhanced rates of pay. Our only requirement is that you are a driver with a full UK license.

Requirements:- Previous care experience necessary
- 25 years old and over
- Must hold a UK driving license
- Weekly pay (£15-£19 per hour dependent on day and time of shift)
- Flexible shift patterns to suit you, alternatively a rolling rota is also available
- DBS cost paid back to you after 100 hours completed

Support Worker
Retain Healthcare are developing a brand new service, and we are looking for the very best support workers in Wiltshire to work within a specialist supported living setting in Chippenham. You will be working alongside a team of experienced and dedicated staff who specialise in supporting young adults with an Autistic Spectrum Conditions and Eating Disorders. You will be supporting people with a therapeutic approach that enables them to live a fulfilling life.
This team will receive the very best training and development to ensure that they are skilled in supporting the people we support. We are looking for full time, part time and bank staff, days, nights and Sleep ins to deliver this service with a range of contracts to meet your individual employment needs.
Pay rates are £14.00 to £21 per hour (with holiday pay accrued separately)

The service is situated in Chippenham.
Your duties will be assisting with all aspects of daily living including personal care, medication and supporting to attend healthcare appointments. Accessing paid employment and opportunities, exploring the local community and maintaining relations with family and friends. Additional activities may include:- Swimming

- Further Education
- Walking/exercise
- Social events to develop skills
- And supporting other personal interests that they have
- Minimum 6 months paid experience in a similar setting
- Right to work in the UK
- Driving Licence preferable
- PBM or PMVA training - although this can be provided for the right person
