Job Description

Finance Manager - Cheltenham

An exciting opportunity exists for a Finance Manager at Retain Healthcare - We are a leading Healthcare Recruitment agency, homecare and training provider with offices in Cheltenham, Chippenham, Salisbury, Bristol and Dorset. This role will include building relationships with local authorities, social care and health community teams and all other stakeholders.

We are looking for a dynamic, driven and articulate professional to manage our finance team.

You will also work closely with the Director and senior management team to help plan and manage budgets to support our growth strategy.

You will need to be experienced in effectively managing a team as well as your own workload to ensure that over 250 Nursing and Care staff are paid on time, each week as well as complete monthly payroll.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

This role forms part of our creative senior management team and supports strategic business development.

Roles include:

  • Payroll (weekly and monthly)
  • Invoicing
  • Monitoring cash flow / aged debtors
  • Overseeing and setting budgets
  • Working proactively with departments and teams
  • Managing your own accounts team
  • Preparing monthly accounts
  • Developing financial models
  • Monitoring business performance
  • Strategic planning
  • Ensure HMRC payments and intermediary reports are on-time
  • Assisting to set rates and increases

CONTACTS & COMMUNICATIONS

  • Liaising with other areas of the organisation, including adherence to the rules, regulations, and guidelines for good practice
  • Ensure sound communication with or stakeholders

COMPETENCIES

  • The holder of this post should be able to demonstrate, or quickly acquire through appropriate training:
  • Must be familiar Sage payroll and Sage accounts
